
It’s not unusual for City’s journalism courses to attract those who have spent a few years in the working world. Many people leave university and go straight into a job before realising that journalism is what they want to do. But this year, one man has taken this a step further.
Meet Robert Vasquez, a 65 year-old retired barrister who is on this year’s MA Newspaper Journalism course. Vasquez left his career as a distinguished commercial lawyer in Gibraltar to come to City, proving that people don’t just become journalists for the money!
XCity Plus caught up with him to see how he’s finding the course.
