City's new green screen TV studio

Lights, camera, action! We take a tour of City’s new state-of-the-art HD TV studio.

City’s journalism students can now access a state-of-the-art HD TV studio, equipped with a green screen and technology used by professional broadcasters. David Bransbury, the studio technician, gives us a tour of the department’s new toys.

Professor Lis Howell, Head of the MA Television and Broadcast Journalism courses, said it ensures students are “broadcast ready” by the time they leave City. She said the new TV studio allows students to produce professional-standard work quickly and more easily. She added: “Our newsroom is now as good as, if not better, than a lot of current broadcast newsrooms.”
