For nearly 25 years, frieze has been covering contemporary art with eight design-heavy issues a year. Since then it has expanded its brand to art fairs in London and New York; an annual publication about historical art; a bilingual arts quarterly in German and English; and year-round art courses and workshops.

XCity Plus visited the frieze offices to find out how the magazine comes together, why print is so important to them and why they are optimistic about the future of physical publications:
